Today's meditation comes from Isaiah 7:14 but we bounce around scripture quite a bit. Here are a few of the verses we address: Isaiah 7:14 is repeated Matt 1:23 Jesus would be preceded by a forerunner (John the Baptist): Malachi 3:1 He will come from Bethlehem: Micah 5:2 (repeated Matt 2:1) He will be from Abraham (Genesis 12:3) He will be of the line of David: Isaiah 9:6-7 (hence the geneologies) He will bring a new covenant: Jeremiah 31:31 Thanks to Ben Sound at www.bensound.com for the background meditation music! |
