Every March, around 5,000 Chinese officials, lawmakers and political advisors descend on Beijing for China’s National People’s Conference and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. These meetings are commonly known as the “Two Sessions.” The 2017 meetings came to a close on March 15th after two-weeks of consultation, during which China’s leaders solidified the Party’s agenda for the upcoming year.
