Clip of the Month: Dignity, Human Rights, & Ethics, with Nadine Strossen

Category: Government & Organizations
Duration: 00:03:17
Publish Date: 2018-06-13 09:56:10
Description: Last week, former ACLU President Nadine Strossen gave a powerful talk on her new book "HATE: Why We Should Resist It with Free Speech, Not Censorship." Throughout the presentation, Strossen offered an unqualified endorsement of free speech in response to hatred and discrimination. In this clip, Strossen, now a professor at New York Law School, uses Carnegie Council's mission statement to make the case for inalienable human rights and the moral responsibility “to raise our voices to counter hateful, discriminatory, and stereotyped ideas.”
