A new campaign in Florida is offering up an alternative to what the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services calls the opioid epidemic. The Florida Physical Therapy Association has launched a campaign called “PT for Pain.” The group is reaching out to lawmakers – and trying to get the public’s attention – about the easy access of physical therapy instead of going straight to pills for pain. Gina Jordan talked with Mark Bishop, an associate professor of physical therapy at the University of Florida. Three men in red berets have stood outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School under a small tent for months. They’ve been on patrol since the February 14 th shooting.
