The need for gun reform is top of mind for the four Democratic candidates running for Governor. Sascha Cordner followed some of the discussion during their first televised debate. On the nineteenth anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting, students in Florida’s capital joined their counterparts across the nation in a school walkout calling for gun reform. Ryan Dailey reports students also congregated in the Capitol courtyard joined by Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum after the school day. Democrats and Republicans may be used to highlight both ends of the political spectrum, but there are other parties sprinkled throughout. As election season begins to ramp up, Andrew Quintana reports on the confusion around third parties. And how it can affect voter turnout. Tampa Bay Times Capital Bureau Chief Steve Bousquet and Lloyd Dunkelberger with the News Service of Florida discuss the recently completed work of the Constitution Revision Commission with Tom Flanigan. |
