With the number of Covid-19 cases in Florida on the rise, Governor Ron DeSantis provides an update. This after five state representatives attended a Washington, DC conference and had possible interactions with a person who later tested positive for the virus. The Florida Senate has passed a bill requiring employers use the federal E-Verify system to ensure they don’t hire undocumented workers. Ryan Dailey reports the version of the bill that passed isn’t quite what its sponsor envisioned. For the first time in more than a decade, the Florida legislature will fully fund affordable housing programs. This comes as the state faces what some call, an affordable housing crisis.
