Regan McCarthy reports passing a balanced budget is the one thing lawmakers are required to do each year. A bill limiting a district school board member’s term is advancing to its last committee. Robbie Gaffney reports members can’t be reelected if they have served for 8-consecutive years. Last session lawmakers passed a bill to make sure opioids weren’t the only alternative being offered to patients for pain medication.
