What is the HMPV Respiratory Virus?
Been sick lately? A little known bug is making its way across Northern California - and it's not the flu, a cold, or covid. A respiratory virus called HMPV (Human metapneumovirus) is spiking across our area. Dr. Dean Blumberg is the Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UC Davis Health and explains what to look out for, who is most at risk of serious illness and what treatment is available. He’ll also update us on measles cases and the flu season in our area.
Youth Storytellers Month
It’s Youth Storytellers Month! A non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people through creative writing, 916 Ink has declared March as Youth Storytellers Month for the Greater Sacramento region. It's the first in what they hope will be an annual celebration of literacy and youth voices.
