Roughly half the population will go through menopause in their life. In recent years, lawmakers have been working to close the gaps in care that many women are running up against. But although these bills have received widespread support at the state Capitol, they’ve hit roadblocks with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s veto. Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan is one of the lawmakers behind recent menopause legislation, and joins us about the policy challenges when it comes to women’s health.

Could Waymo Come to Sacramento?

Waymos are becoming an increasingly common sight on the streets of big cities across the country. A recent decision by the California DMV has allowed these robotaxis to be tested beyond the streets of San Francisco and Los Angeles, including in the Sacramento region. Mollie Cohen D'Agostino, Senior Policy Analyst at the UC Davis Institute for Transportation Studies discusses how safety concerns, public policy and technology could shape how these self-driving cars could roll out.
