Tuolumne County Starts Wildfire Recovery
A month ago, the TCU September Lightning Complex burned almost 14,000 acres across four counties. The devastation was largely centered in the Gold Rush town of Chinese Camp in Tuolumne County. Officials have launched efforts to begin cleaning up the damage, but some historic buildings have been lost forever. Steve Griefer is the District 4 Supervisor for Tuolumne County and he joins us today to talk about how they’re doing what still lies ahead. Today, we’ll check in on the community about how they’re doing and what still lies ahead.
Sac Republic Loses Jägermeister Cup
It was heartbreak at home for soccer fans this weekend as Sacramento Republic fell short in its bid for the Jägermeister Cup. But there’s still plenty to look forward to this season. Sacramento Women’s Chorus
The Sacramento Women’s Chorus has been building community through song for nearly 40 years. Their performances blend music with advocacy by championing causes such as gender equity, LGBTQ+ rights and social justice. They’re preparing for an October 11 concert at The Sofia that will span generations of women’s resilience; featuring both the full chorus and its new small ensemble, Inner Harmony. Artistic directors Rachel Jackson and Cindy Chaffee join Insight to share the group’s history, mission, and what audiences can expect at their upcoming shows. |
