Description: In an evening around live storytelling in La Quinta Museum's courtyard, nearly 100 people listened to true tales of around the theme of "All I Ever Wanted": Stories of growing up. It was the third in the Coachella Valley Storytellers Project series, which coordinates nights of true stories, told live, in which artists, community leaders and everyday desert residents share a prepared first-person story on a theme. The storytellers included: Gideon Cohn, an award-winning artist and owner of IMAGES Fine Art Gallery & Garden in La Quinta and IMAGES Gallery Idyllwild, in Idyllwild; Kristi Rabe, a published poet and MFA recepient from UCR Palm Desert, low residency program; Shann Carr, a longtime comedian; Tod Goldberg, author of over a dozen award-winning books, including the novels Gangsterland, Living Dead Girl, and The House of Secrets, which he co-wrote with Brad Meltzer; and Sarah Day Owen, the consumer experience director in The Desert Sun newsroom.
