"Roxanne, Roxanne" tells the story of Roxanne Shante, who at 14 years old made hip-hop history in the 1980s with her freestyle rebuttal "Roxanne's Revenge" to U.T.F.O. hit "Roxanne, Roxanne." Starring alongside Oscar winner Mahershala Ali and Nia Long, Adams discusses how she was casted for the role eight days before filming started and the difficult of rapping with braces. Adam explains how she stumbled into acting while waiting for a friend in high school.
