Description:

A record-breaking heat wave is impacting millions across the Midwest and the Northeast. The latest U.S. Drought Monitor Map shows large areas of the Southwest are "exceptionally dry," the worst category. The annual peak of global heat-trapping carbon dioxide in the air has reached another dangerous milestone: 50% higher than when the industrial age began. These headlines are just some examples of how Americans are impacted by climate change right now. But what is climate change doing to our future? And what is it doing around the world? Climate change journalist David Wallace-Wells answers these questions in a conversation with 60 Minutes+ correspondent Enrique Acevedo.
