The policy, which could effectively lead to hundreds of thousands of people who are here legally being deported from the UK, was announced by party leader Nigel Farage last week. Speaking on Laura’s on her BBC One Sunday show, the prime minister was anlso questioned on asylum hotels, the government’s new digital ID proposals, tax, and questions over leadership pressure from Andy Burnham.
