For the second day in-a-row Boomer & Gio found themselves discussing losses by both the Mets and the Yankees. First the Mets, who wasted a terrific performance out of Jacob deGrom, losing 2-1 to the Marlins. Mickey Callaway’s bunch scored a total of four runs in the three-game series and Jose Reyes, who is not a starter, has been benched – make of that what you will. As for the Yankees, 10 runs proved not to be enough out in Texas, because they lost to the Rangers 12-10. In the loss the Bombers, bombed away, going deep four more times and are now on an historic pace. As good as they are, the Yanks are 5-5 in their last 10 games and Boomer says they are in desperate need of another frontline starter. So go-ahead and give a listen, you’ll be happy that you did. |
