In the end though, this game will be remembered for Gary Sanchez’s three-run homerun in the 9^th and subsequently, Astros’ closer Ken Giles punching himself in the face, which Gregg described as ‘the most unhinged thing he’s ever seen in baseball’. As for the Mets, they got behind 3-0 early and never responded, losing to the Braves 3-2. So Boomer & Gio had plenty of baseball to digest and discuss, on a Wednesday morning.
