	Description:		Miami to The Bahamas. Finally, John heads out to sea. Nearly four years ago, in a boatyard in Reedville, Virginia, John Herlig came across a tatty old Rawson sailboat called Ave del Mar. Unable to resist, John bought Ave, and so began an adventure that’s taken him from the hippest neighbourhoods in DC, across the Chesapeake Bay, down the Intra-Coastal Waterway and now, at last, into the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, John has developed all manner of new skills and Ave has undergone a painstaking restoration. Together they will circumnavigate the globe although John is keen to point out he has no particular destination in mind. This is a story of reinvention. This is adventure. This is Boat Radio
