A candid discussion about the color of our skin

Description:

This last episode of the season is going to taste different folks.

Werner and Jonathan sat down earlier last week to catch-up and discuss the current state of the world and how it is impacting them. They didn't realize at that point the flood gate they were opening.

Jonathan, in particular, deep-dives at length on his experiences with racism in the US and Europe. He also explains why he feels that this moment, this movement, is not a trend but a trigger for change that will be remembered for decades to come, and that will embrace other communities to claim justice.

They exchange about this topic as candidly as possible, talk about the impact on social movements across the world, and why they feel different this time.

Trigger warning. This episode is rough in all ways. We talk about abuse, systematic racism, colonialism, classism, media manipulation, oppressive capitalism.

“I have a duty to speak the truth as I see it and share not just my triumphs, not just the things that felt good, but the pain. The intense, often unmitigated pain. It is important to share how I know survival is survival.” – Audre Lorde
