How to read without forgetting key concepts

Description:

What is not to like about reading? What other media can engulf you in the wilderness of Alaska or the mind of a world leader at a critical moment of history, all from any place you would find fit for it. However, at a time when it's never been easier to have access to written content, it's also particularly difficult to commit to long-form reading due to distractions and the lack of habits. The Internet has predisposed to fast-food reading, making long-form more difficult to digest or even ingest.

It's this topic that reunites Werner & Jonathan during this episode. They both enjoy books. They both despaired in the past about, first, not reading enough and, second, not retaining over time enough information from what they read. They both created strategies to fix those issues and avoid the dreadful feeling that comes when you read something great, then realize that you already read it in the past and simply forgot about it.

Their reflection revolves around two axes: adapting our modern rhythm of life to read a book, despite the constant interruption and other constraints that emerge, and, focusing on strategies to retain the important information that you have been reading.

Stay safe and stay inside.
