FARGO — Tim Polasek coached at Iowa for four years and that background is paying off on the recruiting circuit.
The North Dakota State football coach landed his second commit for the Class of 2025 out of the Hawkeye state in Sioux City East wide receiver Louden Grimsley.
Grimsley is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and considered one of the fastest prospects in the state of Iowa; running a 4.39 yard-dash. He adds an impressive vertical jump at 42.8 inches.

Grimsley had an offer from Indiana out of the Big Ten among others, along with Miami, Northern Illinois and Kent State. NDSU first offered Grimsley in early February.
Grimsley had a total of nine offers, including Northern Iowa, Illinois State and South Dakota.
Sioux City East plays in 5A football in the state of Iowa, Grimsley’s team posted a 5-5 record losing in the first round of the state playoffs.
Grimsley joins Tiffin, Iowa’s Brody Clubb as 2025 NDSU recruits. The Bison have eight Iowans on their roster heading into the 2024 season.
Grimsley's talent doesn't end on the football field, winning three state track championships. He recently competed at the Drake Relays, running 11.28 in the 100 meters on a windy day in Des Moines.
Grimsley is the fifth commit for the Class of 2025, joining Clubb, James Neville, Dylan Vokal and Gavin Wang.
