FARGO — North Dakota State checked both the athletic and academic boxes for Maple Grove (Minn.) High School's Dylan Vokal, who verbally committed to the Bison on Thursday, May 16, he announced via social media.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver plans to major in engineering. Vokal had nine Division I offers, including three from FBS programs.
“I’m super excited about the winning culture at NDSU," Vokal added.
Vokal is a two-star prospect, according to 247Sports. The Bison have four commitments for the 2025 class.
“Throughout my recruiting journey the NDSU coaching staff has been super great," Vokal said. "They made me feel valued."

Vokal had offers from Army, Air Force and Ohio to go along with multiple offers from Missouri Valley Football Conference programs, including the Bison.
“I'm looking forward to the competitiveness of the Missouri Valley conference, there are a lot of great schools," Vokal said.
Vokal had 470 receiving yards and also rushed for 397 yards during his junior seaosn for the Crimson. He's a two-year starter at wide receiver heading into his senior football season at Maple Grove.
“The facilities are amazing," Vokal said. “The Fargodome is great.”
Vokal took a game-day visit last fall and was on the field during NDSU's pregame entrance.
“I was on the field for the intro and it gave me goose bumps," Vokal said.
Vokal added his play style fits the Bison offense, which has been run-based.
“They pass," Vokal said. "That’s for sure. They can strike it down the field. I think I have a reliable catch radius and also run crisp routes. ... Being a wide receiver is just as much about blocking as it is about catching. It might not be sexy, but it makes for a winning team."
