FARGO Rain on Friday delayed the start of the North Dakota State baseball team's key home Summit League series against Omaha.
The three-game set between the second-place Bison and third-place Omaha begins with a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at Newman Outdoor Field.
The series third game is 1 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Newman.
The Bison enter the weekend 9-6 (.600) in the Summit League standings, a game behind league-leading St. Thomas, which is 10-5 (.667) in the Summit.
Omaha is 10-8 (.556) in the league and fourth-place South Dakota State is 9-8 (.529).
After a single game at Iowa on Wednesday, May 1, the Bison face what could be a series for the league lead against St. Thomas on May 3-5 at Newman Outdoor Field.
The Bison softball team also is in town for its final regular-season home games. NDSU opens its series against Kansas City in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Tharaldson Park.
The Bison and Roos play game three of the series at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 28. NDSU closes the regular season at South Dakota on May 3-4. ]]> |
