Description: FARGO Zach Mathis was pleased with the performance he posted at North Dakota State's football pro day Tuesday at the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex.

The Bison receiver measured in at nearly 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds and posted a 40-yard time of 4.63 seconds, according the numbers NDSU released.

“I feel like it went the best I could," Mathis said. "I’m glad that I gave it everything I have. All I know is I did the best I possibly could. I’m definitely thankful for that.”

Offensive linemen Jalen Sundell and Jake Kubas, defensive back Jayden Price and running back TaMerik Williams also participated for the Bison. Minot State defensive back Knylen Miller-Levi and University of Jamestown defensive lineman Paul Vandal also worked out in front of representatives from 18 NFL and two Canadian Football League teams.

Mathis also posted a time of 7.14 seconds in the three-cone drill and added a 9-foot-11 broad jump and a 36.5-inch vertical. Mathis said he would be open to playing in the CFL if given the opportunity.

“Obviously, the NFL is the dream, but I just want to keep playing the game, and by any form that is, I am open to it," said Mathis, who had 46 catches for 665 yards and six touchdowns this past season.

Former Bison offensive linemen Cordell Volson, who now plays with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Billy Turner, a longtime NFL veteran, also attended Tuesday's pro day.

“It’s awesome," Mathis said. "It just shows the great amount of support. The fact that they came back and took time out of their schedules when they could be training or doing anything to support us, it really means a lot.”
