Description: FARGO The opening week of Portal Season has been a tough one for North Dakota State men's basketball.

Friday was the toughest hit yet, as junior forward Andrew Morgan entered the NCAA transfer portal. Morgan is coming off his best season as a Bison, averaging 13 points and six rebounds per game.

NDSU head coach Dave Richman had no comment on Morgan's decision to enter the portal.

The 6-foot-10 Morgan will have one year of eligibility remaining. He played in 85 games during his NDSU career, starting 59 of them. He averaged just over 10 points during his career with the Bison.

Morgan's best play came late in this past season, where he was named Summit League player of the week, after a stretch where he scored 31, 18 and 18 points in three straight games. He scored 27 points in what was NDSU's high point of the season, a thrilling late-season win over North Dakota.

Morgan is the fifth Bison to enter the portal since the season ended. Boden Skunberg's departure was known to the coaching staff, he was joined by Sam Hastreiter, Lance Waddles and Josh Streit earlier this week.

NDSU has been active in the portal already, offering a scholarship to former West Fargo Sheyenne and Northern State standout Jackson Moni.

Morgan is the fourth different all-conference player in the Summit League to enter the portal, joining Omaha's Frankie Fidler and North Dakota's BJ Omot. Omot's teammate Tyree Ihenahco entered the portal on Friday.
