FARGO It didn't take long for Jacksen Moni to draw Division I attention.
The 6-foot-10 forward from West Fargo Sheyenne, who played three years of college basketball at NCAA Division II Northern State before entering the transfer portal this week, received an offer from North Dakota State on Friday. https://x.com/Moni24Jacksen/status/1771210515752079579?s=20Moni posted about the offer on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He said it was his first Division I offer.
It might not be his last. Moni averaged 21 points per game for Northern State last season and was named first team all-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. His size and outside shooting ability he was 52 of 158 (33%) on 3-pointers last season make him an intriguing player.
Moni averaged 6 rebounds a game for the Wolves last season. He started 91 games over his three years in Aberdeen, S.D., averaging 16.8 points.
NDSU has several scholarships available. Senior Boden Skunberg entered the transfer portal despite having one year of eligibility remaining, a move that was expected by the Bison coaching staff. Other players that entered the portal included Josh Streit, Sam Hastreiter and Lance Waddles. ]]> |
