FARGO North Dakota State received its first known commitment to the 2024 football recruiting class after Williston (N.D.) High School's Isiah St. Romain announced he committed to the Bison on Wednesday, May 3. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Romain is a multiple-sport athlete for the Coyotes and is expected to play wide receiver at NDSU. The Bison added another in-state player Monday, May 8, when Fargo North's Peder Haugo announced his commitment, the second in the class. Romain had 22 receptions for 401 yards and four touchdowns during his junior season at Williston. He also averaged 22.6 points per game the past season for the Coyotes boys basketball team. He is also on the track team, primarily competing in sprints and long jump and high jump. "110% committed," Romain wrote in his NDSU commitment message on social media. High School's Beau Johnson committed to the Bison. Johnson ended up signing with NDSU last December.
