This is what SDSU has for upcoming opponents, ranging from Iowa to two dates with Nebraska. They'll get a combined 3.1 million dollars for those games.

Then I wondered. Why?

SDSU is rightly considered the second best team in the FCS. The Jacks have played in the semifinals or title game every year since 2017 outside of one season.

No one is beaten NDSU more than the Jacks since 2016. So why are the big boys still signing up to play the Jacks and not NDSU?

Athletic director Matt Larsen told me this back in April when I asked him about future FBS games:

"We're still hitting the same road blocks that we have in the past. We have called any and every FBS program that has an opening at the same time we do and we've gotten no on every turn."

I don't really have the answer. Is it because NDSU has won 9 FBS games and 9 FCS titles? That has to be a huge reason. But there isn't one team out there that would like the exposure of playing the Bison in a one-off like Michigan or Wisconsin?

The answer is no. I just can't figure out why the Jacks aren't getting their calls hung up on like NDSU.
