Description: FARGO North Dakota State came up short to a Pac-12 Conference school for a highly regarded prep quarterback recruit from Pierre, S.D.

T.F. Riggs High School rising senior Lincoln Kienholz committed to the Washington Huskies on Wednesday, June 19, he announced via social media.

"I am so grateful for this opportunity and want to say thank you to everyone throughout this process. With that being said, I am committing to the University of Washington!!!" Kienholz wrote.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Kienholz is a three-star prospect, according to 247sports.

Washington, NDSU, Wisconsin and Wyoming were his four finalists. The Bison were the lone FCS program on Kienholz's final list, which he announced in late May.

Kienholz passed for 3,359 yards and 37 touchdowns with six interceptions last fall. He also rushed for 1,156 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is a dual-treat QB and multisport standout.

Kienholz is also a 1,000-point scorer as a point guard on the Governors' basketball team. He was offered a basketball scholarship by the University of South Dakota.

Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer has South Dakota ties, including a stint as head coach at the University of Sioux Falls.
