Description: It was a history making weekend for North Dakota State football.

The Bison had two draft picks, wide receiver Christian Watson was selected 34th overall by the Green Bay Packers, while offensive lineman Cordell Volson was selected with the 136th overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals.



Watson became the highest drafted receiver in Bison history, suprassing Stacy Robinson, when was drafted 46th overall by the New York Giants in 1985.

The Packers traded up with rival Minnesota to take Watson with that pick. Watson's dad, Tazem Wajed was drafted by Green Bay in the 1993 draft in the sixth round out of Howard.
