Description: FARGO Former North Dakota State wide receiver Christian Watson is keeping the same uniform color scheme in the NFL.

The 6-foot-4, 208-pound Watson went the the Green Bay Packers at No. 34 overall in the second round. The Minnesota Vikings traded out of the selection, which Green Bay used for Watson. The Vikings traded No. 34 for picks No. 53 and 59 in the second round.



Watson helps fill a void at wide receiver for Green Bay, which traded All-Pro receiver Davante Adams this offseason. Watson impressed during the pre-draft process with his athleticism, running the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds at the NFL Combine.



In the past two drafts, the Bison have had three players drafted in the top two rounds. Former NDSU quarterback Trey Lance was the No. 3 overall selection by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Tennessee Titans selected former NDSU offensive tackle Dillon Radunz in the second round at No. 53 overall in 2021.
