Prolific author Anne Rice is most known for her Vampire Chronicles, including some of the best-selling novels of all time including, “Interview with the Vampire” and “The Vampire Lestat.” Today, in honor of her recent passing, we air an interview with her from 2008, when she had just completed her book, “Christ The Lord: Out of Egypt.” This marks one of her most ambitious and courageous books, a novel about the early years of Christ, based on the Gospels and on the most respected New Testament scholarship. Anne talks about her decades of atheism and return to Catholicism during this period. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in English and Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She passed away in December at the age of 80. Info: www.annerice.com. |
