Arielle Sokoll-Ward finds a powerful and unapologetic self-love by way of grief in “Metanoia.”
"I told him to strip to his boxers. I sat him in his chair, blindfolded him, and tied his arms behind his body. I set up my playlist, which obviously included Rihanna, John Legend, and even Smashing Pumpkins. I told him to wiggle his blindfold off and I preformed a strip tease that went to lap dance that led to passionate, animalistic sex. As we lay in bed, catching our breath, I tell him my confession. I just recorded the entire thing."
