Carmen sits down with Atlanta barber (voted best hairstylist 2021 by Atlanta Magazine) Frankie Love Edwards and his wife, burlesque artist Candi LeCoeur. Carmen discusses with Frankie the importance of removing gender from hair services, and how he creates a more inclusive salon space at “Every Head is my Canvas.” Frankie even has some grooming advice for baby trans guys! Then we talk with Frankie and Candi about everything from transitioning while married to a cis (and very supportive) partner, to having an open marriage and the importance of communication in polyamory, and how the art of Burlesque helped Frankie feel more comfortable in his own skin.
