Bill Sandillo: • All-State HS Player and All-Conference College Player out of American International back East. • Signed to Play Single A with the Reds, then, • Worked with Bucky Dent at his Baseball academy in Florida while playing Independent Pro baseball. • Worked in Pro baseball an additional 15-years with 8-teams different teams during this time. Doing EVERY JOB there was. • A-Mets, AA-Red Sox & Twins, & AAA-Giants BP Pitcher & Bull Pen Catcher for all • MLB AZ Fall League with Frank Robinson as his assistant to Baseball Ops (2-yrs) • Got a World Series Ring with the AZ Diamondbacks in 2001 (BP Pitcher & Training Center Coach – 2 yrs) and • Worked as a coach or Manager in College Summer Colligate leagues; Cape Cod, Northwoods & Futures Leagues. • Owned my Training Achedemy in Arizona for 23 years and trained over 11,000 players. • And more recently (2018) I managed a Team in Padova Italy • And in 2019 helped coach the Italian National Team where they trained in Mesa AZ. • Lastly I am the BLAST Motion Rep here in AZ. Talk: Long term baseball development. • Talked New school Hitting; High Level Swing Patterns (HLSP), training with today's Mechanics/ Metrics and how its changed the game we know today. • Old School vs New School thinking in today's game and the state of the game with past MLB Players. • New wave of young non-MLB coaches on teams versus good old boys network/MLB way of thinking. • Training Regulations & Certification for anyone who wants to coach anyone as a full-time job. • Discussed the state of the game today and where I think it's heading plus, • Talked about helping Italy and other countries with a unified teaching system & Youth development program. • Plus more……………….
