He brings extensive Sports Industry experience with specializations in professional sports venue management, design and construction. His industry knowledge in the most current methods of sports field design, construction and management has been implemented at sports facilities around the world. He has provided sports venue design and management services in over 30 different countries. Some of his projects include: Major League Baseball’s Official Field Consultant, numerous Olympic and International sports consultations and operations, the Washington Mall and many other major tournaments and facilities. He is Past President and current member of the National Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) and recipient of numerous awards including Sportsturf Man of the Year (1991), Sportsturf Professional Field of the Year (West Palm Beach Municipal, 1993) and 2016 Ballpark of the Year by USAToday (MLB in Fort Bragg). Murray has been a Keynote speaker at numerous field clinics and National Conferences around the world and written several guides on sports field design, maintenance and construction. They discuss: Safety of the players. How a proper field is constructed. Developing a maintenance plan. Proper tools and equipment. How to use clay in areas there are holes. How to tamp properly.
