Yesterday, the Council of Eminent Persons announced the formation of an Institutional Reforms Committee to assist the government to keep its pre-election promises, as contained in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto. Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria from the Institute of Ethnic Studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia explains whether this is a welcomed development as well as what his expects to result from this committee.
