They have been tasked with tackling the economy and arrest the rising cost of living. One of the more striking reactions to the council came from A. Kadir Jasin, the former chief editor of the New Straits Times group. He said it shows the Prime Minister considers his administration’s machinery ineffectual in handling key issues.
