ATP Stories: Marty Roberts – Redefining Pharma Sales in Japan

Description: We are joined today in the ATP Stories studio by Marty Roberts - CEO of Entouch in Japan, a startup in the medtech / healthtech space. Entouch connects doctors and medical reps through some innovative routing technology. Like myself, Marty is a psychologist like myself (although he is  far better qualified). While his business is redefining the pharmaceutical sector, it’s might not be obviously apparent how psychology comes into play. But this isn’t just about building a cool CRM system for medical reps and doctors, this is about getting a deeper understanding of emotion and motivation. Not only does Entouch connect key players in pharmaceuticals, it also empowers a whole sector of skilled reps who, for personal reasons (too old, just had a child, live outside big city etc) are unable to get back into the traditional workforce but have invaluable skills for medicine. We are going to talk about Marty’s journey as an entrepreneur as well as the quite remarkable backstory to how he got there - from starting out as an analyst in Japan (speaking no Japanese) to eventually becoming President of the company.
