The Daily Mess Answering The Mystery

Description: July 15, 2022
The mystery. Do you remember? Why don’t you remember? How can we remember better? I struggled with my mother as a thirty year old because she no longer remembered. I assumed it just wasn’t important to her. Now that I’m 60, I hold a lot of respect for my mother’s journey. We take in too much with no place to sort it out. Because I’m a daily writer that pin points his attention on what’s going on in this place of now… I’m holding onto the map that got us here. I don’t want to be that guy that doesn’t remember. What day was it? Give me thirty minutes. I’ll stroll through my 28 years of daily writing and locate the answer. Look at today’s headlines. Anything there about the war in Ukraine? We are the out of sight out of mind generation. The war is still brutally destroying human rights. Because readers have to stroll down endless amounts of space on CNN.com, the war doesn’t carry the same emotion once held. You know what we do remember? The spam phone calls about car warranties and lowering your college loan. They bug us every day! We’ve pushed out our past from its normal growing place. It’s as if we don’t appreciate the process. We expect progress. But we don’t appreciate the reasons why we should remember. Give yourself permission to take notes. I call mine the Daily Mess.
