Plus, the White House released new safety recommendations for schools which encourages mask use but doesn’t require it. Dr. Tom Frieden is the former Director of the CDC, and he tells Anderson Cooper any community can open schools but only a community that does these two things can keep them open: control Covid-19 so it’s not spreading and adapt in the schools.
