With the UN conference on SIDS just days away, the Acclimatise Network has been focussing on the challenges that small island nations face with regards to climate change.
In the last Acclimatise Conversation on Climate Change Adaptation, I spoke with Gina Bonne of the Indian Ocean Commission ahead of the Climate-Resilient Islands Partnership meeting, which is due to take place in Samoa at the end of this week.
The Partnership is made up of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC)and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP).
Today I speak with Dr Mark Bynoe, Senior resource economist at the CCCCCl; I began by asking Mark what different challenges the Caribbean region faces compared to island nations in the Pacific or the Indian Ocean. |
