Mountain ecosystems are some of the most vulnerable on earth to the impacts of climate change, yet billions of people depend on the services that they support. The Himalayas for instance, known as the 'Water Towers of Asia', feed seven of Asia's great rivers, providing year-round water supply to more than one billion people.
