They are their for the International Institute for Environment and Development's (IIED) 10th International conference on community-based adaptation. It is also the 1st that is focussed specifically on urban areas. Dr Satterthwaite is a senior fellow at the IIED and is one of the leading thinkers on how cities can combine development and climate change adaptation. Acclimatise's Will Bugler, caught up with him just before the conference to find out more about why community-based adaptation is important in an urban context.
