Description: In this lecture we begin to discuss the rise of the heliocentric model of the Universe/Solar System in the rennaissance. We describe the Copernican model, Tycho Brahe's observations, and Kepler's use of Brahe's data to create his 3 laws of Planetary motion. We also begin to describe Galileo's contribution to the heliocentric model and the death of geocentrism.
