Description: FCC hits Total Call Mobile for $30 million in fraud for enrolling tens of thousands of duplicate and ineligible consumers into the Lifeline program. In addition to fines, Total Call will permanently lose its authorizations to participate in the Lifeline program anywhere in the country. The LifeLine program was intended to supplement $9 a month for eligible subscribers, and an additional $25 for those on Tribal lands.
