What is age appropriate content for books in Utah schools?

Category: Society & Culture
Duration: 00:08:05

Description:

The Utah Attorney General's office is giving guidance to schools about when the library should pull a book in response to a complaint from a parent. We know that students do not leave their first amendment rights at the school house steps, that they have a right to read books and be exposed to a wide variety of age appropriate content. Is the question what is age appropriate? KSL Newsradio's Amanda Dickson asked her guests on A Woman's View. Her guests this week include former Utah State Senator Patrice Arent, founder of Miller Media and Communications Molly Miller and journalist Robynn Garfield.
