Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, The Lobster) Greek indie film 'Dogtooth' was his breakthrough hit that was nominated for an Academy Award.
The film is about three siblings that are unable to leave their house because of their over-protective parents. It's a strange drama that can swing from horror to comedy in a single scene and definitely deserving of the title 'Odd'.
We will take a deep dive into the film and discuss the many facets that surround it - is it a criticism on fascism? On patriarchal social structures? Or is it just about an insecure father who has a thirst for control?
