In this first episode of A New Winter, I tell you about how my friend Kate and her family were brutally slaughtered on their farm. They were murdered one by one, over the course of three days and without any signs of struggle. The only real evidence is a set of footprints in the snow leading from a nearby forest, and no footprints leaving.
