When New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein was high-sticked late in the first period, the damage was more severe than first appeared. Klein, being a hockey player, had the piece of ear reattached and was back for a regular shift in the second period, wearing a plastic guard for protection.
He topped that off by scoring the overtime winner to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3.
