Description: In 1951, Leamington Spa’s Randolph Turpin stunned the boxing world by beating the legend Sugar Ray Robinson over 15 rounds at Earls Court in London. It remains one of the iconic moments in British boxing history. Mike and Steve introduce a 2001 BBC World Service documentary about the fight and Turpin’s tragic life afterwards, featuring the original radio commentary of the fight, Turpin’s brother, BBC commentator Reg Gutteridge and US boxing historian Bert Sugar.
